NHS Innovation Service shortlisted for HSJ Digital Awards 2024

We are proud to be shortlisted for a HSJ Digital Award 2024, recognising innovative digital projects transforming care delivery, enhancing efficiency, and improving patient outcomes.

Shortlisted in the 'Improving Back-Office Efficiencies through Digital' category, the service is being recognised alongside developers BJSS for creating a single coordinated online platform where innovators can receive access to free tailored support from expert organisations. This process helps speed up the adoption and spread of impactful innovations into the NHS and wider healthcare system.

Matt Newman, Deputy Director of the Accelerated Access Collaborative, home of the NHS Innovation Service said

“We’re delighted to be shortlisted for the HSJ Digital Awards. With the support of BJSS we’re helping to increase and accelerate the uptake of impactful innovations into the NHS and social care by creating a single coordinated online platform for innovators with practical support and guidance provided by 25 expert partner organisations.

This enables innovators to navigate the health and care system and deliver innovations to clinicians and patients faster, to help support some of the NHS’s biggest challenges".

The selected winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Manchester Central on 6 June 2024.

The 2024 awards judging panel was made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community, including; Olubukola (Buki) Adeyemo, Chief Executive, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, Hatim Abdulhussein, National Clinical Lead, AI and Digital Workforce (WT&E), NHS England, Dame Margaret Whitehead, Chair, Independent Review Equity in Medical Devices and Luke Readman, Regional Director of Digital Transformation, NHS England (London).
