NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme open for applications
Are you a problem solver, creative thinker, or innovator in the NHS? Do you have an idea you wish to develop and scale for patient benefit?
The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme may be for you!
The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur programme (CEP) is welcoming NHS staff to apply for cohort 8.
The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, delivered by Anglia Ruskin University and part of the Accelerated Access Collaborative (AAC), is the biggest entrepreneurial workforce development programme of its kind.
This year long programme is free and open to all NHS staff. It provides learning, opportunities and experiences through which entrepreneurs develop the commercial skills to accelerate their innovations that will, in turn help transform patient care. It also provides them with the entrepreneurial knowledge and experience that will help them in their day jobs. A dedicated programme on how to build a start-up or develop an intrapreneurial idea is delivered as a series of CPD accredited educational events called Pit Stops, which can be attended either in person or virtually.
The inclusive programme and its diverse community create a space where NHS staff can develop their innovation or idea without having to leave the health service. The programme offers mentoring, bespoke commercial education, customer matching, resources, development tools and access to a community of likeminded individuals and industry experts.
“The programme gave me access to range of resources and expertise. The opportunity to showcase my innovation to industry experts and contacts in the NHS gave me valuable insight and provided the best ‘shop window’ for the innovation, one could ever hope for. “ (Dr Biswajit Chakrabarti, Consultant Respiratory Physician, Director and Lead of Clinical Development at LungHealth and NHS Clinical Entrepreneur)
