Health and Social Care Northern Ireland has joined the NHS Innovation Service
Companies and innovators developing medical devices and technologies wishing to be connected with Health and Social Care Northern Ireland (HSCNI) can now be referred to HSC Industry Engagement.
The service is for those wishing to work with the HSCNI to conduct trials, collaborate and access expertise relating to their product life cycle.
HSC Industry Engagement was established in 2019 to act as a front door for industry enquiries to HSCNI. Its main focus is to develop and grow clinical research and innovation across Northern Ireland’s health and care system. They work to connect industry, HSCNI and Northern Ireland’s research & innovation centres, facilitating and supporting successful collaborative partnerships.
Innovations falling within scope include technologies directly treating, diagnosing, or guiding care for specific conditions, requiring the most rigorous evidence to prove safety, effectiveness, and value for money.
The range of support offered by HSC Industry Engagement is for innovators who wish to:
- develop clinical investigations, performance studies or clinical trials;
- explore collaboration with HSC based clinical experts;
- access information, guidance or advice;
- access high quality clinical materials;
- access information on medical device regulation;
- gain knowledge of funding opportunities across Northern Ireland.
